PROMETHEUS

Prometheus as a symbol of civilisation, progress, human wisdom, and resistance to authority. 

Consequences... eternal repetition... eternal punishment... eternal hope... ultimately, liberation.

Several layers of cardboard and paper, painted, stacked and attached to wire, so as to create the effect of a hanging stack of paper.

Oil pastel chalk in gold/bronze

In Western cultures, white dominates and symbolises purity, innocence, a new beginning, peace and clarity, weddings, the colour of cleanliness (hygiene), but also elegance and simplicity. Culturally, however, white can also signify mourning and death.

The combination of both is intended to symbolise the theme of the Prometheus mythology.

Prometheus als Symbol für Zivilisation, Fortschritt, menschliche Klugheit, Widerstand gegen Autorität. 

Konsequenzen...ewige Wiederholung...ewige Strafe...ewige Hoffnung...letztendlich die Befreiung.

Diverse Acryl Farbschichten, von dunkel nach hell gearbeitet.

Mehrere Lagen Pappe und Papier, bemalt, übereinander gelegt, an Draht befestigt, so das die Wirkung erzielt wurde, dass der Papierstapel hängt.

Ölpastell Kreide in Gold/ Bronze

Weiss dominiert, symbolisiert, in westlichen Kulturen, Reinheit, Unschuld, Neuanfang, Frieden und Klarheit, Hochzeit, Farbe der Sauberkeit (Hygiene) , aber auch Eleganz und Einfachheit. Kulturell kann Weiß jedoch auch Trauer und Tod bedeuten.

Beides soll, in der Kombination, die Thematik der Prometheus Mythologie symbolisieren.
